US131 Bug Run Canceled/Postponed
With the bad weather forecast the officials at US131 Motorsports Park in Martin, MI have postponed the 4th annual Spring Bug Run until July 10, 2011. We hope everyone gets this message and does not drive out to the show Sunday. Sorry for the inconvenience but this was the tracks decision.

What keeps us going is member participation! We need to get more "new" faces to step up and help us run events. No experience needed we will tell you all you need to know about the job you sign up for. Any help is greatly appreciated!

A New Year

I got the first batch of Calendars out at the November GTG and I know there must be members that still want some. Frankenmuth a success!
Well the Frankenmuth GTG is in the books and what a great turnout it was, We had over 30 people show up to the Black Forest Brew Haus, We also bumped into many members throughout the town and at the large Bronners Christmas Store. I was happy to see so many committed members to travel so far for a GTG. Great work guys and gals lets keep it up!

The GoodVolks Are Headed East!
After a very busy October we had no time for a formal GTG so for November we are going to take a trip over to Frankenmuth. We have a very active member named Dan over there who always makes the trip to our activities so we decided its time we traveled to him. Details are still being finalized and will be posted as soon as I have them.
Second Annual GoodVolks Drag Day In The Books
Yesterday was our 2nd annual GoodVolks Drag Day Event where we show our support and appreciation to US131 Motorsports Park for putting on the 2 Bug Run's every year by attending an open Test N Tune date. We hold our own competition during the Test N Tune for who can get the best reaction time and whoever does receives the trophy. Last year is was my father Mike Fisher in the Splash Bug with a .001 this year it was Patrick in his recently finished 77 Bug with a .03 Here is a picture of Rudy handing out the trophy to the proud winner.
GoodVolks/MVWG 2nd Annual Fall Color Tour
Last Saturday we had our 2nd color tour teamed up with the great folks of the Michiana VW Gruppe. It was a slightly chilly day but the sun was shining and so were the 13 VW's on hand. We headed out of Three Rivers and enjoyed some nice country side. The tour was split in half with a stop at a local park where we stretched our legs and had a few snacks and apple sider then continued on the second leg. The tour ended in the same place as last year at Zeke's Restaurant in Dowagiac. Next year its up to the MVWG to plan the route. A big thanks in owed to A.J. for planning our tour this year. Thanks A.J.!!!
US131 Fall Bug Run And Pre Show Poker Run/Potluck This Weekend!
This year you only have to pay the gate fee and you can be in the car show or have a swap space for no extra charge! Hopefully this will help grow the event! Mark your calendars people! Also the ECPRA Pro Stocks and Pro Mods are going to be there check out this thread!

We are also working out the details for a pre event poker run that will end at the track for a potluck. I will post the details as soon as I can.

Saturday Night Poker Run/Potluck!!!!
When: Saturday August 29th
6:00pm Poker Run
7:00pm Potluck
Where: US131 Motorsports Park
1249 12th Street
Martin, MI 49070
We will start the poker run from the US131 Motorsports Park Entrance and head out on a tour of local towns/country and collect 5 cards then head back to the track and decide the winners and have some dinner/campout. A map will be handed out at the gate in case someone gets separated.
Everyone has to pay an entry fee for the potluck and will be given a wristband for Sunday's Show entrance(Saturday nights gate fee is your entry fee for Sunday). We strongly suggest everyone bring something to contribute to the potluck even if its small. The prizes for the poker run are being put up by 3b Stan of 3B Performance who put on last years Meet N Greet but to get prizes we need a 12 car minimum.

Volks Folks At The Zoo This Saturday!
